Four British tabloid journalists have been cleared of paying prison officers for information, in the latest blow to a wide-ranging police investigation into alleged bribery by reporters.
A jury on Friday found three journalists from the Sun and one from the Daily Mirror not guilty of conspiring to commit misconduct in a public office. Jurors failed to reach a verdict on one other charge.
