3 win Nobel Prize in chemistry for world’s tiniest machines

Devices are 1,000 times thinner than a human hair.

Three scientists won the Nobel Prize in chemistry Wednesday for developing the world’s smallest machines. Known as molecular machines, they are 1,000 times thinner than a human hair and have the potential to revolutionize computers and even medicine.
