23andMe to work with Genentech to find Treatment for Parkinson’s disease

Parkinson's disease, a progressive disorder of the nervous system, includes symptoms like tremor, rigid muscles, speech change, loss of automatic movements and slowed movement. 23andMe, personal genomics and Biotechnology Company, has announced to work with another biotechnology corporation, Genentech, to discover new treatment for the disease.

According to reports, the deal is the first between 23andMe and a pharmaceutical company this year. The company based in California will have several deals with major pharmaceutical companies in 2015.
