Genentech and genetics-testing startup 23andMe have come together to launch a research to find new treatments for Parkinson’s disease, the companies announced on Tuesday.

This is the first deal that 23andMe has bagged with a major pharmaceutical company this year. The startup is set to ink several such deals in the future. As part of the deal, Genentech is responsible for sequencing the whole genomes of about 3,000 people with Parkinson’s disease in 23andMe’s databas...
