Admit it, as a child; we all had fantasies about having X-ray vision! Well now, X-ray vision is set to become a reality – albeit only on the 2020 Mars rover. The system, which involves advanced lasers and cameras, will be able to see beneath the planet’s surface as the rover roams the terrain of the red planet. The new rover will be the twin of the current rover, Curiosity, and by using the basic hardware of the previous machine, NASA have been able to save a lot of money.
The new rover will prepare to pave the way for human exploration to Mars, carrying out next level research with an upgrade to the technologies currently feature on curiosity.
