On Tuesday, about 20,000 nurses announced protest in California over patient care issues. According to their union, the nurses who may care for patients stricken with the deadly Ebola virus have not been provided sufficient protection.
National Nurses United, nurses' union based in California, announced the strike and said that hospitals still do not have enough suits that leave no skin exposed and protect nurses from exposure. According to the union, working without those suits could be harmful for the nurses.
