ISTANBUL – Two top European Union officials are in Turkey trying to restore dialogue amid the fallout from a failed military coup that has fueled diplomatic tensions and fears that an agreement to curb the flow of migrants across the Aegean Sea might collapse.

EU President Martin Schulz and EU Migration Commissioner Dimitris Avramopoulos held separate talks with top Turkish officials in Ankara on Thursday.
