At least two law enforcement agencies in the Ozarks are planning Drug Take Back collections on Sept. 27. The events are a chance for people to rid their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused and unwanted prescription drugs that can lead to pill abuse, theft and the contamination of our drinking water. The services are free and anonymous, and no questions are asked.

In Republic, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the Saturday, the Republic Police Department, along with Community 2000 and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), will be at the Walgreen’s store, 1140 E. U.S. 60 in Republic, for their seventh Drug Take Back event.
