Last night’s Mad Men premiere (and particularly Roger Sterling’s mustache) confirmed something the promos only hinted at. Toto, we’re not in the 60s anymore. All our visions of Don Draper’s story and the decade that defined him coming to a close at the same time went out the window.

And though Mad Men often jumps a few months to a year in between seasons, skipping from July 1969 to April 1970 means we missed out on a lot of cultural events. Sadly, we’ll never get to see Sally Draper at Woodstock, nor see the Madison Avenue squares react to Altamont. And blowing through the firs...
