15 Foot Shuttle Monument Unveiled On Florida’s Space Coast

Florida’s US Space Walk of Fame Museum dedicated a 15 foot tall granite and steel monument to the ground operation crews who supported the Space Shuttle Missions. The $350,000 monument was finally unveiled to a crowd who gathered to see the monument and pay their respects to the unsung heroes who remained on the ground while astronauts flew in space.

The monument consisted of 8 granite panels that each depicted an image in memory of a significant moment in the Space Shuttle’s history.
