100-Year-Old Robert Scott Expedition Notebook Found

During his second expedition to Antarctica, British explorer Robert Scott—and most of his team—died from overexposure to the extreme elements. Some died of starvation, some died of exhaustion, and some died from the inclement weather.

It has been at least 100 years since his death, but on October 20, 2014 representatives from New Zealand’s Antarctic Heritage Trust reported that they have found his notebook which his tracked Scott’s last Terra Nova Expedition.
