It isn’t yet a citywide epidemic, but I think you should consider it. Brooklyn’s basketball outfit remains alive, and could probably use some more local love. The Nets squeaked into the NBA playoffs (barely!), and, after two (competitive-ish) losses in Atlanta, there’s general agreement they will be short-timers, that Brooklyn basically didn’t deserve this postseason (they finished the regular season 38-44) and the conference-champion Hawks will soon finish them off with their talons.
